The Serpent Queen: Season 2

Set against the backdrop of 16th-century France, the series delves into the life of Catherine de’ Medici, one of history’s most influential yet enigmatic figures. The show blends historical facts with some creative liberty, offering a rich tapestry of court intrigue, political manoeuvring, and personal vendettas. It navigates through the complex layers of Catherine’s life, from her early days as an orphaned Italian noblewoman to her rise as the queen consort of France.

The work delivered consisted, of course, of a lot of anachronism cleanups! We also tackled the reshaping of the head of a prince who got hit by a horse, a beheading, a CG gallow with dead monks, a ‘poisoned’ face, CG blood, CG blades, set extensions and crowd replication.
